I'm in Mrs. Heather's Class, Help!

Not sure why we do what we do? Seriously doubting why you should study, take tests or in general do any assignment you don't enjoy? Well I have an answer for you. I'm not promising you'll like it but you might walk away understanding why we do what we do in my class (and possibly in the other classes you take too).

How to Study For Vocabulary Tests at EAL
(Read this if you haven't done well on these tests and need some tips to help you with testing. This focuses on the weekly roots and vocab words NOT words from RWTB literature.)

"Skits, Cartoons & Interviews? What's with all this creative stuff?": Creative Learning Is Critical Thinking!
(Read this if you can't figure out what homework is most important, are thinking you should 'skip' something or you want to put a pencil in your eye because I keep making you do this stuff.)

I hate poetry! (or why do I have to study this stuff?): The Importance of Humanities
(Read this if you are ready to burn your Norton Anthology because you think it's POINTLESS!!! and a waste of your time.)

Another one? Why do I have to take all these tests?
(Read this if you are freaking out about taking a test at EAL.)

Why Algebra? A non-math teacher's take on it.
(Read this if you are convinced you don't need to take math because you are going to be a super hero or YouTube star and everyone knows they don't use math.)

Sniffing out the news: Stop, Look and Listen...not necessarily in that order
(Read this if you are convinced I hate you personally and that's why you have to look up all those stupid current events articles in American Government class every stinkin' week.)
